Sunday – (3pm to 6pm)
Goolwa SLSC started from very humble beginnings just over 10 years ago in a shed on a very sandy patch of dirt on Goolwa Beach. The formation of the club was driven by the need to provide surf lifesaving at the beach for the locals and visitors to enjoy the beach and make it a safer place. Due to the rapidly growing membership, surf lifesaving capabilities and participation in emergency service call outs, the decision was made to work with the Alexandrina Council, Surf Lifesaving SA and the local community to purpose build much needed new facilities tailored to suit the needs of the club and benefit the surrounding community as well.
Through a dedicated team of volunteers who worked extremely hard fundraising, we now have excellent facilities to not only help us keep the beach safer but to share with the wider community as well. Our facilities include: surf operations garage area, first aid room, training/presentation room, club change rooms, as well as our bar and recreation area which makes the most of some of the best views on the South Coast. We have a selection of wine varieties predominantly from Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek as well as a selection of Local, Australian and International beers, ciders and RTD’s.
Our upstairs area is available for hire for the general public and we are able to offer many flexible options to suit your requirements including after club opening hours on Saturdays and Sundays. We are also able to offer cleaning for you so please check about this option. Also available for hire is our training/presentation room. This area is very flexible and is suited to a number of styles of training and/or presentations. To date we’ve had first aid and Barista training done here as well as club information presentations.
Please enquire with our club business manager to find out more about how we can help you with your next function or training session.
